In this short video Eric spins a few amusing creative "explanations" (Neil asking the questions) about the origins of his unique walking stick art. You will probably think we are all insane here after watching this... but just having fun...How far out is Eric's stories really, eh? Don't be so sure... In any case, it is sure to tickle your frontal lobes imagination as well as likely to tickle the funny spot in your pre-frontal cortex into smiles. Special appearance by Chloe Slade. Playing time just over 4 minutes, ends with "licking". (This video rather crudely lit and looks rough- not due to the Quicktime format which is pretty good- but the original video image. We'll have a feature with higher quality images later, these canes really are AMAZING.)
This second video will take some time to download, as it is 26 MB. So, be patient, go see a movie, take a long walk, or sleep while it downloads- don't sit and watch your computer whatever you do. Read the Download Tips below...
Download and Viewing TIPS: If you are kind of new to computer complexities, here are a few tips that may make your Brain Movie viewing a bit simpler- it will be easy as pie after you do it once. Even experts may learn something new here....
These are QUICK TIME Movie files- which I have found works best for quality internet video. Everything else is pretty terrible at this point in time/technology, sorry. Real Video stinks (though streaming Real Audio can sound pretty good), so do the rest of the web video formats. You need a good size file to see a decent web video, no way around it.
Make sure you first have Quicktime installed on your computer, or else after you download the whole file, you won't be able to do anything with it. NOTE: Check your Program Files folder in your C Drive first, you may already have Quicktime on your computer.
To download Quicktime, get the FREE version by going here please: Quicktime Download. NOTE: Find the "Download Quicktime" button, and skip the "Buy Quicktime" button. Choose "minimum" set-up for faster download. It will take a little time to download and set up, but you'll only have to do this once for all the coming Brain Attractions.
Tip #1A- When you play your video, just leave the screen at about 1 3/4 to 3 inches across maximum for best clarity and sharpest picture.
Tip #1- You may want to first create a "New Folder" on your C drive to save this and the other many Brain Music and Video files that will be available for later viewing and to share with your friends- Be a Brain Pioneer and TURN YOUR FRIENDS ON to BRAIN MUSIC and VIDEO!
#2- RIGHT CLICK on the video link. Why? If you left click on the Video Link, depending on how your browser is set up, you will need to open a new separate browser window to continue browsing other web pages while the Quicktime file downloads, and you also won't be able to save it for later. Quicktime won't continue to download if you go to another web page in the same browser window. This will not be the case if you are lucky enough to get the "Save file" option, or the "Saving Location" window at the start, which should happen if you RIGHT CLICK to begin with. Note: continued web browsing will slow down your video download on slower modems.
When you are finished downloading, and you actually open the file, you may need to scroll down to use the Quicktime application in the list of applications offered to open the file. You may not, and the Quicktime Player may automatically open. I have to admit, the Quicktime Player is really COOL, because you can organize all your favorite saved Brain Video (and other) clips using the FAVORITES Menu option and the Favorites Drawer (you'll figure this out, just screw around with it and other functions.) To make the picture bigger (it actually looks great only a couple of inches across), grab the lower right hand corner of the Quicktime window, hold your mouse button down and drag down and to the right- opposite to make the picture smaller.
#3- Video files are BIG, so it will take a while to download on a 56K (an hour perhaps) or 28K modem. DSL and cable modems will download within a couple of minutes. Go eat a big lunch while your computer downloads or walk the dogs, or meditate on your anterior amygdala. Don't watch your computer screen.
#4- Here's a nice BLACK BACKGROUND against which you can play your video screen Movie Black Background Just keep your browser (Netscape, etc) and Quicktime player active, click to this page, then start your movie- you'll be clicking the icons for each program at the bottom of your browser window. This pleasantly eliminates distractions from your desktop or other web pages. Lots more and bigger Brain Music Videos coming soon! Have Fun!
The AMAZING BRAIN ADVENTURE's MOST POPULAR PAGES:
Your Amazing Brain Adventure is a web site all about Tickling Your Amygdala- i.e. turning on the best part of your brain as easy as clicking on a light switch. This is done as easily as imagining a feather inside of your head stimulating a compass, the amygdala. The amygdala is a set of twin organs, a part of your brain that sits right in between the most advance part of your brain- the frontal lobes and pre-frontal cortex- and the most primitive part of your brain- your "reptile brain" and brain stem. By tickling your amygdala you instantly and directly increase creativity, intelligence, pleasure, and also make possible a spontaneous natural processes known as "paranormal abilities", although such things as telepathy and ESP are really as natural as breathing, or as easy doing simple math in your head. The ability to self stimulate the amygdala by something as simple as thought has been proven in laboratory experiments, such as those conducted at Harvard University research labs, 1999-2009, and can be tracked with modern brain scanning machines such as fMRI and PET... Indeed, thought is faster than light.
