DREAM ANALYSIS

I just woke up moments ago after cruising around Dreamland. And this is what I experienced, and consequently was alerted to via my frontal lobes:

DREAM:
PART ONE- I'm in front of my neighborhood elementary school. My friend and I have skateboards. It's just like being a kid again. Wheeeeee! When I was 10, I built my own skateboard out of a piece of wood, and roller skate wheels. It wasn't the fanciest thing in the world, but it worked just fine, and was a complete blast to scoot around on- besides I MADE IT MYSELF! This made it twice as fun.

My friend and I decided to have a fun competition. We pretended we were at the Skateboard Olympics. The idea was to see who could go the furthest without falling off. My friend, and his fancy skateboard didn't get to far. Then it was my turn. I scooted away and skateboarded down the sidewalk. I kept rolling, and rolling, faster and faster- it was a BREEZE!

I scooted down the sidewalk, like I was flying, I went blocks and blocks around corners, then back uphill! Never falling off even once. I made the whole trip around the neighborhood, and then kept going for the second trip around. This was a total easy, fun time ZOOOOOOMMMM!

PART TWO- I'm now doing "grownup" things. I'm in the car, with a teenager who wants to be all grownup, driving a big heavy clunky panel delivery truck (the kind they haul stuff around in). This teenager is in a big hurry, though we're not really going anywhere. She's talking about a credit card she has that's maxed out. Behind us we see the flashing lights of a police car- (fortunately it passes by us- for now).

I say to my teenage friend, "You're making me nervous, let me drive!" I get behind the wheel, and I start driving. Man, this truck IS a pain to drive! The brakes hardly work, you have to push down with every ounce of strength to get any results- the steering wheel feels like a ton. After a few moments of struggling with the wheel, getting on a wrong narrow path, I crash the old truck right into a canal filled with water- we're not going anywhere now!

We get out of the truck- and fortunately escape drowning. The next thing I know I'm up for a job running some kind of government project. There is a big competition for the position. I'm literally flying around (like some Superman out of whack)-like a chicken without a head, getting my credentials together to present to the decision makers. I nearly pull a guys head off with my cape! I'm a big shot and important now!

All of a sudden, I think to myself- "What happened to the good old days? Trying to make it in "The Big World" is a pain in the butt! What happened to small town life- that was fun- this IMPORTANT stuff is BALONEY!"

I wake up.

ANALYSIS: What a GREAT dream- and how relevant. I trust my life shares much with all of your experiences out there in Brain Land, so that's why I make this particular one public.

Part One: Life is light, uncomplicated. It is a breeze. Nothing but a couple of little wheels and a piece of wood under my feet and I just keep rolling and rolling! Life is FUN and ENJOYABLE and REWARDING. Light. No heavy loads. I think this is the core way to live. What else is there to say?!

Part Two: Now I'm trying to get somewhere in a big, ugly vehicle designed to carry TONS OF JUNK. This truck is heavy, it's a bitch to control, and I end up in a ditch.

Ever feel like you were trying to do too much? Taking on too much? Your life is filled with EXTRA STUFF? It's a pain, you don't go anywhere. This is a very strange way to live.

Most kids don't carry loads of ANYTHING around with them most of the time. And in general, these kinds of kids have a meaningful, enjoyable time. They learn like lightning, they explore, they have almost UNLIMITED ENERGY, they are healthy, they are optimistic. As we grow older, we take on more and more, and sometimes get REALLY BOGGED DOWN- From GREED. We want to FILL UP OUR TRUCK. And so our vehicle changes from a speedy and light skateboard to a heavy and clunky delivery truck.

MY DREAM ALERTS ME to this current possibility, in part or larger whole scheme. MY BRAIN TELLS ME VIA DREAM "Are you flying around and enjoying the simple joys of life? Or, are you getting bogged down in heavy dragging around of this and that?"

My frontal lobes Creative-Imaginative-Cooperative-Intuitive-Logical Dream talks to me through nightime Dreamtime Exploration of MIND which sneaks around my waking daytime reptile brain EGO filter. So I can really see myself and my actions through uncensored intelligence analysis. (Certainly, I didn't invent this idea!) THUS the following frontal lobes processes:

1) I write down my dream in journal.
2) I recall, then analyze dream for meaning using logic, intuition, and creativity.
3) I take necessary corrective action in waking consciousness life activity.

The best concert I've ever seen in my life was John McLaughlin playing with just two other musicians. He had one guitar that he played, and the other band members were a drummer, and a bass player. The stage was small, the audience was small. There were no fancy lights, backdrops, or truckloads of equipment. Simple music. BUT- It was as though people from another planet had landed and played the most sophisticated, intelligent COMPLETELY THRILLING musical language possible.

The most fun I've ever had driving a car was when I sat behind the wheel of a Lotus Elan. ( Finally got my own in 2001!!) This is a tiny little 1960's fiberglass British sports car. It weighs nothing. There are no fancy gizmos, gadgets, fins or electronic computer thingamabobs on this car. It drives like a DREAM. Lotus' aren't the fastest cars on the road, but generally they run circles around everything else because they can out handle anything. Once you've driven a simple, light Lotus, everything else by comparison is like sex with a ski parka on.

Which will I choose this week- Big and Clunky- or Light and Quick?

Your Amazing Brain Adventure is a web site all about Tickling Your Amygdala- i.e. turning on the best part of your brain as easy as clicking on a light switch. This is done as easily as imagining a feather inside of your head stimulating a compass, the amygdala. The amygdala is a set of twin organs, a part of your brain that sits right in between the most advance part of your brain- the frontal lobes and pre-frontal cortex- and the most primitive part of your brain- your "reptile brain" and brain stem.  By tickling your amygdala you instantly and directly increase creativity, intelligence, pleasure, and also make possible a spontaneous natural processes known as "paranormal abilities", although such things as telepathy and ESP are really as natural as breathing, or as easy doing simple math in your head. The ability to self stimulate the amygdala by something as simple as thought has been proven in laboratory experiments, such as those conducted at Harvard University research labs, 1999-2009, and can be tracked with modern brain scanning machines such as fMRI and PET... Indeed, thought is faster than light.
