"Chloe and Erfie"
This portrait was done from one of my
favorite photos of Erfie and Chloe (Chloe on the left). This is
my first painting done using a new type of water soluble oil
paint, i.e. an oil paint that works, smells, and dries exactly
like regular oil paint, but thins and cleans totally with
ordinary tap water. This painting makes a lot lot of use of
"negative space"- unpainted area to define subject.
Okay, from this point, the artwork becomes
more unconventional and more idiomatic..
