First: My brain's recommendation to most people for most applications for any brand printer:
25% the cost of regular ink refills, with as good or better color than OEM. Read details below to find out why, and the alternatives. Inktest Alternatives Results HERE

CONTINUOUS INK SYSTEMS
for Canon Printers
It is RUMORED that they work on some Epson Printers
But I use Canons, and for Canon printers:
In two words: THEY SUCK.
Okay, I am going to attempt
to save you a lot of grief as well as money, and more than anything
frustration. I hope you can hear me.... I have been printing books- THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of full length books for YEARS. My books average about 200 pages each, with full color front covers, and black and white text 8 1/2" X 11" full size books. On top of this I have printed god only knows how many CD and DVD labels, tens of thousands almost certainly. If anyone would LOVE to have a Continuous Ink System that actually worked on a CANON printer IT WOULD BE ME. Well, I have tried many- from USA made systems to those made in Russia and China. Some never worked AT ALL from the moment I installed them. Others worked only after I spent HOURS AND HOURS trying to get them to work- and ULTIMATELY THEY FAILED and refused to work at all after either a SHORT TIME or after a month or even a couple of months- after I spent anywhere from $60 to three times that much on the system. Here's why they ultimately fail: ALL INKJET MANUFACTURERS design their printers with SINGLE USE REPLACEMENT INKJET CARTRIDGES AT THE CORE OF THEIR DESIGN. Inkjet printer manufacturers make all their profit by selling these replaceable carts-- just like the old Polaroid camera company practically gave away their cameras so they could make a killing selling instant developing Polaroid film. As much as people would like to be able to draw cheap bulk ink out of a bottle through a tube into an inkjet printer head-- it is an idea that is DOOMED TO FAIL. It may work for a little while, but from everything I've seen, every time I've tried it, even after getting some to work for a while-- eventually they fail. Be my guest, spend money on a CIS system. Get frustrated as hell every time it stops working, and you go crazy trying to get it to work again. Have a temper tantrum and throw your printer on the floor when you can't get your CIS to work like it's supposed to. Be my guest. Canon, Epson, and HP will enjoy every minute of your frustration, because they never intended any of their consumer grade printers to successfully use one of these CIS systems. Go ahead and believe what the manufacturers of CIS inkjet systems tell you-- go ahead.
A sucker is born every minute.
Now, take my advice, and read what I have to say after YEARS of printing with consumer Canon inkjet printers, more documents, books, and labels you can imagine-- read the rest of my site. I recommend 3 things only- unless you want to lose your mind- use the expensive as all hell OEM carts, or buy the practical affordable aftermarket pre-filled carts, or if you are really desperate to save every last penny and don't mind getting ink everywhere, including your hands, carpets, tables, and you LOVE CLOROX (because that is the ONLY thing that will remove this dye and pigment ink from your hands and everything else)- then refill your carts with bulk ink. As for Continuous Ink Systems -- okay, don't say I didn't warn you. :-( Neil Slade

BRAIN ADVENTURE's MOST POPULAR PAGES:
Your Amazing Brain Adventure
is a web site all about Tickling Your Amygdala-
i.e. turning on the best part of your brain as easy as clicking on a light
switch. This is done as easily as imagining a feather inside of your head
stimulating a compass, the amygdala. The amygdala is a set of twin organs, a
part of your brain that sits right in between the most advance part of your
brain- the frontal lobes and pre-frontal cortex- and the most primitive part
of your brain- your "reptile brain" and brain stem. By tickling your
amygdala you instantly and directly increase creativity, intelligence,
pleasure, and also make possible a spontaneous natural processes known as
"paranormal abilities", although such things as telepathy and ESP are really
as natural as breathing, or as easy doing simple math in your head. The
ability to self stimulate the amygdala by something as simple as thought has
been proven in laboratory experiments, such as those conducted at Harvard
University research labs, 1999-2009, and can be tracked with modern brain
scanning machines such as fMRI and PET... Indeed, thought is faster than
light.
